Srinagar, Sep 10 (KNO): Vetran singer Usha Uthup enthralled the audience with her power-packed performance at the closing ceremony of the first-ever International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir (IFFJK) in Srinagar on Thursday, bringing the four-day festival to a rocking and memorable close.
Uthup, known for her distinctive and deep singing voice and her work across pop, jazz and playback music, captivated the audience with her energetic performance, while her interaction with the crowd from the stage added to the excitement of the evening.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Uthup's performance emerged as one of the major highlights of the closing ceremony, with the audience responding enthusiastically as she took the stage and added a vibrant musical finale to the inaugural edition of IFFJK.
Her energetic stage presence, distinctive voice and interaction with the audience kept the closing ceremony lively, with filmmakers, artists, delegates, young filmmakers and cinema lovers joining in the celebrations.
Usha's performance turned the concluding evening into a celebration of music and cinema, with the singer engaging directly with the crowd from the stage and receiving loud applause throughout her appearance.
She further provided a fitting finale to an event that brought together the film fraternity, young talent and cinema lovers from Jammu and Kashmir, India and abroad.
The first edition of IFFJK brought together filmmakers, artists and cinema enthusiasts from India and abroad, with 120 films from over 30 countries screened during the four-day festival.
With music, cinema and enthusiastic audience participation coming together on the final evening, the inaugural IFFJK signed off on a celebratory note, setting the stage for a larger and more vibrant festival in the years ahead—(KNO)
